I was born and raised in Burgenland, Austria, in the beautiful countryside. I lived there my whole life until I moved to Vienna for my studies and professional career. I studied Computer Science in Wiener Neustadt and now work in Vienna as an AI Engineer at Springtime Technologies.
Throughout my life, I've always been passionate about diving deep into new technologies and understanding how things work. This curiosity led me from building 3D game engines in 2011 to experimenting with neural networks in 2014, and eventually becoming the first person to introduce and integrate AI into my company's products in 2019.
I've spent 10 years at Springtime Technologies building the core automation and extraction capabilities that power Invoicetrack - trusted by Fortune 500 companies for invoice and accounts payable automation. I own the largest portion of the automation and extraction functionality, with deeper knowledge in this area than any other developer at the company.
My work involves processing 1.2M+ documents monthly for enterprise clients including Boehringer Ingelheim, Bosch, DHL, and Evonik. I specialize in integrating LLMs/VLMs, computer vision, and NLP models into production systems that deliver real business value.
What I love most about my work is bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and real-world production systems. I enjoy the challenge of taking new AI models and figuring out how to make them work reliably at scale.
I've been playing table tennis for 33 years with UTTC Oberwart and also train with BAC Baden. I train 2-3 times a week and compete in tournaments and team championships every year. For over 30 years, table tennis has been more than just a hobby - it's a huge part of my life and teaches me discipline, focus, and the value of consistent practice.
I love sports in general. In winter, you'll find me skiing in the Austrian mountains, and in summer, I play beach volleyball weekly. Staying active and enjoying the outdoors keeps me balanced and energized.
I enjoy playing guitar and video games, especially competitive ones. I've spent countless hours in World of Warcraft PVP arenas, League of Legends, and Hearthstone. I love the strategic depth and the competitive challenge these games provide - it's another way I satisfy my competitive spirit outside of table tennis.
Beyond my professional work, I love exploring new technologies just for fun. Whether it's experimenting with the latest generative AI models, building hobby projects, or diving into a new framework, I'm always learning. I run my own AI machine at home where I experiment with cutting-edge models for video, image, and audio generation.
Despite all my technical pursuits and hobbies, spending quality time with friends and family is what matters most. Whether it's a casual get-together, a family gathering, or just hanging out, these moments keep me grounded and remind me what's truly important.
Throughout my career, I've learned that successful AI integration requires more than just technical skills. It requires:
Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt | 2012 - 2016
Specialization: Software Architecture and Design
My thesis compared 3D vs 2D terrain rendering performance on mobile devices, which grew out of my 7-year passion project building a mobile city builder game.
Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt | 2008 - 2012
